It was in the autumn of 2010 that KTM CEO Stefan Pierer unveiled the racing version of a newly constructed four-stroke Enduro with 350cc displacement. Three months later, on February 6, 2011, this newly developed bike had its premiere race with factory rider David Knight at the handlebars – and won. Just three months later, after a double win in Portugal in the Enduro World championship by Johnny
Aubert and other podium places by E2 factory teammate Cristobal Guerrero, KTM is now launching the series model of this machine. And with it is underlining the brands position as market leader in the world of offroad motorcycles.
A four-valve motor of just 28kg mobilizes over 45 hp top performance and spoils the rider with perfect motor characteristics tailor-made for all kinds of Enduro riding. The intricately constructed engine offers juicy torque and is very lively. The 350 cubic centimeter delivers the ideal practical performance and unlimited riding fun for both professional and hobby riders alike.
The innovative new motor is mounted on a completely new chassis – thought out and produced in the company's Mattighofen factory in Austria and tested all over the world. The unit of frame and suspension elements from WP Suspension, including PDS technology represents the very latest in cutting edge chassis development.
The entire model range benefits from the ongoing development and the close link with the KTM factory team. Right from the ultra-light two-stroke models 125 EXC, 200 EXC, 250 EXC and 300 EXC, right up to the 250cc und 350cc bigger four-strokes and the high performance top models, the 450 EXC and 500 EXC. KTM therefore offers just the right Orange bike for every Enduro requirement.
In 2012, KTM also continues with its tradition of delivering the popular Six Days models. Thanks to high quality additional equipment, competition riders can rely on the fact that their bike is absolutely ready to race. And this year the new 2012 edition of the bike for this legendary endurance race comes featuring the colors of host country Finland.
