Karro signs for Bosst Energy KTM
Boost Energy KTM has announced the signing of Matiss Karro onto its team for 2012.
The 20-year old Latvian joins Nathan Parker in the KTM UK-supported
Boost Energy team and will compete in the Maxxis British Championship
and the World Championship, both in the MX1 class.
With latest
SX-F machines from the Austrian manufacturer at the team's disposal,
Karro is expected to ride the 350cc while Parker will pilot the 450cc.
An upbeat Boost Energy team principle,
Steve Turner, commented:
“I'm
chuffed with the signing of Matiss. He's a quick kid and has shown many
times that he can compete at the highest level. He's had an unlucky
season with injuries in 2011 but hopefully he will be able to put all
that behind him and have the type of season that we all know he is
capable of.
“The team is stepping up to GP's next year and I'm
really looking forward to working with Nathan and Matiss. The MX1 class
at GP's is stacked but I'm confident we can deliver some impressive
results for the team and for KTM.”KTM will be at the
International Dirt Bike Show from November 3-6 to showcase the majority
of its 2012 MX, Enduro and Cross Country models along with the exciting
new PowerParts and PowerWear ranges.
Also on display at
Stoneleigh Park, Coventry, will be the MX1 and MX2 world championship
winning machines of Tony Cairoli and Ken Roczen, along with David
Knight's 500 EXC Enduro and Marc Coma's Dakar-winning 450.
Located
outside the show's main entrance will be the distinctive KTM race
truck, displaying a selection of motocross, enduro and ATV models from
its British riders and teams, including the Boost Energy squad.
