Priced at £7595 and £7895, the 'Cairoli' and 'Roczen' replicas are
built to honour the riders and take the 2012 350 and 250 SX-F machines
to the very next level. More than just a trick graphics set and an
orange steel backbone frame, the additional cost over the base models
gains an enviable spec list; including Factory triple clamps, black
Excel rims and Renthal bars, SXS seat and front brake disc guard and
handguards.
Both four-stroke powerplants are protected by a
high-tensile aluminiumn engine guard, feature a CNC-machined clutch
cover, have a lightweight Factory start system and an Akrapovic titanium
silencer. Increased performance for the Roczen 250 bike comes via the
SXS Performance Kit.
In 2011, Tony Cairoli managed to defend his
MX1 World Championship title on the 350 SX-F in his second season as a
KTM factory rider. In total, Cairoli has won no less than 23 heats in
two years for KTM.
The 26-year old Italian's weapon of choice is
the revolutionary 350 SX-F, the brainchild of ten-times World Champion
and current head of KTM's MX2 factory team, Stefan Everts. A fantastic
MX bike whose versatility is hard to beat: it combines nearly the power
of a 450 with the agility of a 250 – the winning combination in the big
boys' class!
In the MX2 class, KTM rookie Ken Roczen picked up
where his teammate, Marvin Musquin, left off in 2010. Winning an
impressive 19 heats on the 250 SX-F, the 17-year-old from Mattstedt,
Germany, defended KTM's no.1 status in the MX2 World Championship to
make it four consecutive titles for the Austrian manufacturer's
untouchable 250.
The two Factory replicas are available from January 2012. Contact your nearest KTM dealer for more information.
