And the MCN Award for Manufacturer of the Year 2010 goes to...Triumph!
2010 really is the year of the Brit Bikes with Triumph not only making a clean sweep of four other MCN awards but managing to nab the prestigious Manufacturer of the Year award. With such ever-popular classics as the Bonneville, Daytona 675, Speed & Street Triples; it's really no surprise that Triumph were a strong contender for the category's champion. But with such exciting new arrivals as the new Tiger 800 and 800XC as well as Triumph's extreme talent for developing fantastic ranges of clothing and accessories, (not to mention the highly admired Steve McQueen limited editions) - it is unsurprising that for this year at least, other manufacturers did not stand a chance.
A quote from the MCN judging panel helps to summarise what made Triumph so triumphant for 2010...
"One man's vision 20 years ago has become the powerhouse that Triumph is today. The Hinckley firm has a range of bikes second to none, with undisputed customer care and sales back-up from it's official dealers. Once it followed, now Triumph leads."
As one of our leading brands at Laguna's, with one of our branches completely devoted to them - we are extremely proud of Triumph's victory and wish everybody in the Triumph team the best of luck for next year's awards!
