2018 marks the final year of the World War One centenary, and our friends over at Laguna Triumph Ashford are very proud to be a part of a community initiative, alongside The Queens Head pub and many other individuals in the local community in Kingsnorth in Ashford, to support The Royal British Legion movement to say ‘thank you’ to the First World War generation who served, sacrificed, rebuilt and changed the nation.
The silhouettes you see in our photo are located opposite our Laguna Triumph store, and they symbolise the communities that took part in World War One, who shaped the nation as we know it today. Many companies, local authorities and individuals across the country are displaying these silhouettes until late 2018 as a reminder of the sacrifices made during the First World War and commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Armistice, the end of World War One.
Please feel free to join us over at Laguna Triumph Ashford at 11am for a service on Remembrance Sunday (11th November) on the green opposite our store as we lay wreaths and wooden crosses to commemorate this anniversary. Lest we Forget.
