Mutt Motorcycles caught up with Gavin Watson, an international and iconic photographer, about his unique work and awesome personality. For Gavin, when he looks through the lens, he is aiming to capture authenticity, passion and no cares in a world attitude - you do you! Watson's work resonates with Mutt Motorcycles because they too make motorcycles that look a bit different and don't conform to the natural trends of sports bikes or scooters.

Working with the best names of his time
Watson was no stranger to working on some of the most alternative projects available. These projects include anything from his books "Skins & Punks" and "Raving '89", to album artwork covers for Plan B and Jake Bugg. Gavin also worked with well-known brands like Dr Martens, Vice, Sounds and Dazed. Watson was born edgy and decided not to conform to the mainstream style through the 70s and 80s - instead, he branched away!
What does Gavin think about Mutt?
Watson says he would own a Sabbath 100%, even as a middle-aged man popping around in his leathers. It fits the style he has always loved and naturally holds a rebellious streak he can whip around London. Gavin mentions that when he was at school, it was a must to own a motorcycle, but what you'd get is the majority of people buying Honda mopeds, which in his eyes wasn't a true motorcycle - he refers to a song from Peter and the Test Tube Babies' called Moped Lad.
