With the heatwave in full swing and the sun shining its magnificent rays over our glorious nation, we were inspired to ask our Motorcycle Sales Advisor, Duffy, what his dream Grand American Tourer would be and where would he go if the world was his oyster.
Don't forget you too can ride this Harley® and ride route, with our Harley-Davidson® rentals package.
Scroll down to see what he chose...
"I would probably go with the Road Glide® Special in Vivid Black and the chrome, as it really comes with everything I'd want. First off you've got that ground-rumbling Milwaukee-Eight™ 114ci engine, packed with bundles of Harley® power. On top of the powerhouse within, there's a brilliant bit of kit in the form of an infotainment system with Boom!™ Box GTS.
If we're talking mods or additions to the motorcycle, there's not much I would feel the need to add as it's pretty good to go. Perhaps if I was being extra picky I would add a H-D® Onix Premium luggage system and a Stage One upgrade to give me even more passing power."
Duffy's dream ride route takes him all the way to Germany!
Check out the highlights of his road trip and the full ride route...
The start-off point for all good road trips has got to be Maidstone Harley-Davidson®! Take a quick look at the latest motorcycles in the store and grab a free coffee from the machine or snacks from the food van outside - to save youself a stop-off a bit later down the line. Plus you can even treat yourself to something from the clothing department before you head off on an epic ride.
Riding across the Channel and through Belgium, you will arrive in Maastricht! A bright and cheerful city on the southern tip of the Netherlands. Maastricht offers fantastic architecture and awesome medieval-era historic sights to see. If this is where you see yourself stopping over for the night, there's tons of nightlife, cocktail clubs and truly spectacular food. There's lots to do and lots to see, a perfect destination for your motorcycle travels.
The next highlight is the biggest town in Rhineland-Palatinate, Cochem. This town holds a small population giving you a more personal holiday experience. Check out the awesome gondola chairlift taking you up to the Pinnerkreuz for truly remarkable landscape views. If you fancy stopping here for the night you'll receive a very unique individual experience due to the town being so small in population, with just over 5,000 inhabitants.
Time your trip right to finish up at a fantastic motorcycle festival based in Rüdesheim am Rhein. The Magic Bike festival offers something for everyone. With live music playing throughout the entire event, live acts, and great food and beverages too - you won't stop having fun. Plus it's a fantastic way to meet fellow HOG members and Chapters from across the entire globe. All in one place for one weekend only, you're definitely going to want to spend the night here as the list of live acts is usually breathtaking - and all for an incredible price point. Check out more details HERE.

Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allow Laguna Motorcycles Limited (which include multiple trading names: Laguna Motorcycles, Laguna Performance Centre, Laguna Triumph, Maidstone Honda, Maidstone Harley-Davidson® and Kent Motorcycles to act as a credit broker, not a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders, and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only.
We are a credit broker and not a lender. We can introduce you to a lender on our panel, which includes lenders of vehicle manufacturers. We have commercial arrangements with lenders and credit brokers which are likely to influence who we introduce you to. We are not an independent financial adviser and don’t give you any advice or recommendations. It is your choice whether you enter into any finance agreement. Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked to the franchise offering you the vehicle. They will usually offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions (but we do not guarantee they do). If they are unable to offer finance, we then seek to introduce you to someone else on our panel. We will usually receive a commission for your introduction. This will be either a fixed fee, or a fixed percentage of the amount that you borrow. This may be linked to the vehicle model you choose. Lenders of vehicle manufacturers may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement. Before we propose you to a potential lender, we will tell you of the likely amount of commission we will receive and seek your consent to receiving this commission. The exact amount of commission will be confirmed before you sign your finance agreement.
