When did you begin riding?
"I started riding at the age of 16. I scraped a few pounds together to buy a crashed and damaged AR50, which I bought for £50. I spent some time getting it back on the road and upgraded it to an 83cc with a Big Bore kit and a 6-speed gearbox! I then moved on to an imported FZR 400, after buying it as a box of bits. I reassembled it once I'd passed my restricted licence test at the age of 19. But unfortunately, I had quite a big accident - I mounted a pavement and crashed into a tree. It smashed my helmet open and shook my confidence, so I decided to quit biking. However a few years later, a friend wanted to get into biking. I advised him against it, but he decided to pursue it anyway - so I offered to help find him find a bike and get him set up with all the protective gear. Our bike hunt led us around the country and we eventually found him a GP100. He asked if I would test drive it to see if it was ok, so I took it down the road - with the thought of my last bike outing at the front of my mind. To my surprise, I came back from the test ride and said: “Well that’s it then, I need to get back on a bike!” There really is no feeling like riding a motorbike. The bike needed a little work, which I agreed to help with, and another friend, Stuart, let us use his garage to fix up the little GP100. It was at this point my biking journey really began again. Stuart had crashed his Suzuki Bandit 1200 in the past, which I then decided to turn into a Streetfighter. From tinkering with this little GP100 came a new love of biking for me. I went from the Streetfighter Bandit to an SV, to my first Triumph; A Sprint ST. I then bought a huge adventure bike, which was a bit too big for me and what I needed. However sadly, in May of 2021, our house flooded and there was a shortfall between the insurance and what was needed to finish putting the house back together, so I had to sell the bike to raise the money to fix the house. During this time I inherited other bikes that came to me in pieces, which I managed to get up and running during the months at home at the peak of the pandemic. So once the house was finished, I decided it was time to start looking at bikes again...!"
Why did you choose the Rocket 3 GT?
"As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have one. I didn't know whether to buy the GT or the R, so with some help from Laguna Sales Advisor, Marc Suckling, I discovered the difference between the two models to distinguish between what I needed and what I didn't. I decided to order the Rocket 3 GT with black wheels, removed the backrest, and I also added some extra bits and pieces. I absolutely love it! I've made myself a GT that looks mostly like an R, but with comfort of a GT. I have all the parts to have an R one year and a GT the next!"
How would you summarise this bike in three words?
"Incredible, just incredible!"
Do you have any road trips planned on your new Rocket?
"None yet, but it won't be long!"
Safe and happy riding, Adam!

We can introduce you to a selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. An introduction to a lender does not amount to independent financial advice and we act as their agent for this introduction. Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next best offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure the best deal you are eligible for from our panel of lenders. Lenders may pay a fixed commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you ask us what the amount of commission is, we will tell you in good time before the Finance agreement is executed. All finance applications are subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18’s or over. Guarantees may be required.
