Ian was very happy to collect his 2002 Triumph Sprint 955i
A lovely customer of ours, Ian, was very keen for us to share news of his experience with our team here at Laguna Motorcycles as well as Triumph UK over the past year, which we are of course very pleased to do!...
Back in April 2020, Ian, who is a front line worker for the NHS, had his beautiful Triumph Sprint 955i stolen from his home. Not only was this extremely upsetting for Ian, but he was also unable to get to and from work as he no longer had any transport.
Thankfully, after a plea for information about his bike via social media, Ian's Triumph Sprint was found three days later - but sadly it was in need of a lot of work before it could be ridden again.
As soon as our team at Laguna Motorcycles in Maidstone heard of Ian’s unfortunate situation, we reached out to him and offered our support. We collected his bike from Brighton and made sure that the repairs needed to his bike were taken care of, which included sourcing the many various components - some of which were rather tricky to secure due to the age of the bike and some supply chain challenges due to the Covid pandemic. Thankfully Triumph UK kindly assisted us and were able to provide many of the parts that Ian's bike required. Once the repairs were completed, we stored the bike for Ian until it was appropriate for him to travel out of area to collect his bike.
In the meantime, Triumph UK also stepped up to kindly provide Ian with a Triumph Tiger 800 XCX model from their fleet to keep him mobile at a time when he was needed most - delivering it to him as swiftly as possible so he could continue to work.
Ian did in fact decide to purchase the Tiger XCX motorcycle that Triumph UK lent him after enjoying his time on the bike... and last week he was finally able to travel up to Laguna Motorcycles to collect his beloved Sprint 955i - check out the photos below!

We are a credit broker and not a lender. We can introduce you to a lender on our panel, which includes lenders of vehicle manufacturers. We have commercial arrangements with lenders and credit brokers which are likely to influence who we introduce you to. We are not an independent financial adviser and don’t give you any advice or recommendations. It is your choice whether you enter into any finance agreement. Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked to the franchise offering you the vehicle. They will usually offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions (but we do not guarantee they do). If they are unable to offer finance, we then seek to introduce you to someone else on our panel. We will usually receive a commission for your introduction. This will be either a fixed fee, or a fixed percentage of the amount that you borrow. This may be linked to the vehicle model you choose. Lenders of vehicle manufacturers may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement. Before we propose you to a potential lender, we will tell you of the likely amount of commission we will receive and seek your consent to receiving this commission. The exact amount of commission will be confirmed before you sign your finance agreement.
