The Street Triple RS - 2022 Side Profile

Thoughts on the bike...

WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THE ENGINE, POWER AND TORQUE?

"This model's engine will continue to surprise you... for a 765cc motorcycle it's insanity. Not only does it sound absolutely phenomenal, but each gear has an optimum length and the foot controls are almost padded to the touch. If you take the bike in first gear up to 40mph, the sound it outputs may quite possibly blow your mind - what a symphony!

With this bike, there is plenty of passing power no matter what speed you are cruising. Motorways are no problem and there's a huge abundance of torque ready to get you out of trouble. If there's one thing for sure, you will have fun riding the Street Triple."

HOW WERE THE HANDLING, BRAKES & RIDING POSITION?

"The handling on this bike is great. It will turn where you want it to turn and the turning circle on it is surprisingly good for a naked motorcycle. This is great because no one likes doing a two-hundred-thousand-point turn when they go the wrong way. Even at high speeds, this model seems to impress my handling desires which is great, as some bikes tend to lose that character after 50mph. Braking capabilities are what you'd expect from Brembos - stop where you want to stop, no questions asked. Plus there's a soft pull on the lever for ultimate stopping force - what more can you want when you've got it in Sport mode?

The suspension is okay - a little bit stiff in places, however there are adjusters so you can tailor the bike to your needs. I wish I knew this before my test ride as I took it out as standard and felt every pothole through my spine. I would assume with the softening of the mono-shock and forks, it would be silky smooth. The riding position on the RS was comfortable and reasonable for a naked but aggressive motorcycle. No discomfort came from riding the bike for a day, however I'd urge you to try this bike for yourself to see how you get on with the slight lean to the handlebars."

The Street Triple RS - Technology

TECHNOLOGY - WAS IT USEFUL?

"Technology on this little nipper is pretty awesome and there is everything you would expect on a modern-day motorcycle, and more. The TFT display is beautifully crisp and shows you anything you could ever imagine clearly and precisely. There's a handy 8-point fuel gauge and mile range indicator which comes in handy for those day-to-day journeys.

The RS has great ride modes for you to explore which definitely come in handy when it's raining, sunny or anything in between. The selection buttons on the bars are noticeably easy to push and navigate which I found great. The less you need to focus on them when playing around with your settings, the better."

WHAT MODIFICATIONS WOULD YOU MAKE TO THIS BIKE?

"I think if I was to modify this bike, I would potentially replace the bar end mirrors for something a little more functional. There were times I was filtering where I would have quite liked to have folded the mirrors in for peace of mind when passing cars - the stock bar end mirrors didn't seem to have this function.

A tail tidy would definitely add the final touch to the styling aboard the Street Triple. The long tail it comes with from the factory is a bit out of place in my opinion."

The Verdict....

"Overall it's a reasonably good-looking motorcycle if you're into the bug-eye headlights. For some this could be the deal breaker, however I would suggest you at least test-ride this beauty as it has an awful lot to offer. From the immense prestige handling to the comfortable breaking power and taking off propulsion. The Street Triple RS is a brilliant example of the perfect all-rounder. There's a huge database of accessories and aftermarket parts for the bike so you can easily make it your own - costing you little or lots.

The sound of this bike's symphony needs more credit - I'll put it this way, if I could wake up to the sound of the engine roar, I would! As you go up the rev range through the gears, the bike has the ability to egg you on to go further and keep opening that throttle. It's easy to say, but this bike is an all-rounder as it doesn't really slack in any areas. There wasn't even one time I got off the motorcycle wanting more from it. If you haven't already tried the Street Triple RS, you need to give it a go - book your demo today and thank me later."

We can introduce you to a selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. An introduction to a lender does not amount to independent financial advice and we act as their agent for this introduction. Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next best offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure the best deal you are eligible for from our panel of lenders. Lenders may pay a fixed commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you ask us what the amount of commission is, we will tell you in good time before the Finance agreement is executed. All finance applications are subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18’s or over. Guarantees may be required.
