KTM set the standard for the lightweight adventure motorcycle with the KTM 390 Adventure. This motorcycle provides the rider with full adventure capability whilst being lightweight, agile and controllable. Inspiring confidence off-road, the 390 Adventure pushes you further and hey if you drop it... you can probably pick it up!
We handed a KTM 390 Adventure over to Brayden our Laguna Content Lead for an in-depth look at how it rides and what he thinks of this lightweight beast.

"For me, the KTM 390 Adventure is obviously no stranger to the punchy single-cylinder character. I feel the engine gives a substantial amount of power and willingness, considering this is a smaller ride. The handling on this little whipper was great, giving me supreme mobility whilst filtering and allowing agile reflexes within gridlocked motorway traffic. The braking system on the 390 Adventure was great - the single disc filled me with confidence as it provided smooth effortless braking every time.
In addition to these main areas, KTM has clearly focused on the suspension and technology within the ride. The WP Apex suspension works really nicely, making pothole bumps non-existent and highspeed wobble improbable."
"The TFT display was especially cool, providing me with loads of useful information. One nice key feature was the gear shift indicator telling me when it was time to shift up. The fuel tank seemed to last forever and cost me less than £10 to fill up with E5 - what's more, is you get an 8 bar gauge making monitoring your petrol easy.
Personally, I feel a lot of manufacturers make the mirrors a total afterthought on bikes, but on the 390 Adv. this is not the case. They were in a great position on the bars and were easily adjustable on their ball-like fixture joints."
"I think the design of this ride is super cool, it looks a bit like an upright wasp to me which I think is absolutely awesome. Manufacturers are hunting that 'aggressive' bike aesthetic and KTM is here making bikes that look like the most aggressive insects known to man. The LED lighting was really helpful under low light and the TFT display was great because it changed contrast levels under low light, making it clear and precise wherever you are.
In regards to comfort the seat was super comfortable. I didn't have to adjust because of numb legs at all and the riding position was perfect, boasting an upright straight riding stance. I would also give credit to the windscreen and handguards, the wind resistance was god tier, making my highspeed travel a breeze."

"The 390 Adv. was a great bike to ride and experience - KTM has done a brilliant job in giving large bike quality to this small-sized engined unit. I cannot fault the handling, brakes or power from this little whipper and would definitely ride it again. It's perfect for anyone looking to take a smaller step into adventure bike riding, radiating confidence-inspiring agility. It would also be ideal for any A2 licence commuter as it'll give you the daily business but also have something waiting for you at the weekends."
"If you haven't tried this bike, I would definitely give it a go!"
